Rad Red Creative - Vendor Spotlight

Each wedding is special, and the importance of having a great photographer who will preserve each unique moment cannot be understated. So, we chatted with one of the best in the business, Brittany Trevino of Rad Red Creative, and she has some great advice! Read on for more!

Brittany, how did you get your start in the event business?

When Leo and I were dating, I got offered a job out in Utah working for a production company. At the time I had my degree in TV Production and wasn’t using it, so I was seriously considering moving across the country for this job. Frantic Leo, who at the time was shooting weddings by himself, didn’t want me to leave and so he suggested that we should start a business doing weddings together. I laughed, but he didn’t, he was serious! After lots of thought, and realizing how serious our relationship was, I decided to go for it. I taught Leo video and he taught me photography. From Summer of 2012 stemmed Rad Red Creative, just 3 months later we were a legal business, and 1 year and a half later we were full time! Now its been 4 years and I don’t regret the day I decided to choose Leo and Rad Red.

What do you love most about being in the event/wedding business?

It might sound cheesy, but it’s our couples! We get the opportunity to meet some of the best people and even become friends with them. They trust us to capture such an important moment in their lives and we don’t take that for granted.

If a bride is considering a theme to their wedding, what is your best recommendation for incorporating a theme?

Through the colors and the decor, without being too literal. Florals are also an awesome way to showcase themes!

What approach do you advise in order for to yield an amazing looking and tasteful event?

Pick the right venue! Sometimes that can help bring your theme to life!

When people inquire about your services, what can they expect?

We like to say they can expect the Rad Red Experience! From how the first meeting, to our Bride Facebook support group, to how we approach shooting on the day. We want it to be fun and enjoyable all around.

What is your best advice to avoid planning stress for any special event?

Hire a planner! Most people have never planned a wedding before, and that’s okay! Let a professional help you along the way, they are worth their weight in gold!
