Chic and Contemporary Modern Romance at Haus 820
While many might think of a “modern” wedding as beingย sleek and minimal, many couples are finding a beautiful balance that leaves space for warm and inviting details while keeping the contemporary feel. Haus 820 is a perfect venue for couples looking for that combination, since its neutral colors and industrial-chic details provide a lovely backdrop for softer decor. For bride and groom Zoe and Jode, the team at Ashton Events Planning and Design developed a Haus 820 modern romantic wedding that beautifully blended the two themes. Photographer Amber Phinisee followed along, capturing their every smile and kiss.
Their theme began with the invitations from Blanc et Vertย and Haint Blue Collective, which played with soft colors. The greenery in muted watercolor and the delicate but modern typography gave a hint at what the wedding would feel like.
Zoe was a beautiful bride, and her glow was enhanced by the talented artists from Femme Akoi and Ci Beauty who gave her a hair and makeup look to suit her big day. All twelve of her bridesmaids wore simple strapless gowns in the softest shade of lilac, adding to the softness of the wedding palette.
The groomsmen and the groom all wore classic black tuxedos to elevate the feeling of the wedding.
Zoe and Jode held their ceremony at their church, making it an intimate and sentimental venue. They exchanged their vows with love in their voices, and their guests were overjoyed by their sweet display of affection.
Once Zoe and Jode were husband and wife, they moved the event to Haus 820 for the reception. With clean, white brick, industrial details, and modern touches, it is a perfect venue for a romantic wedding with a modern vibe.
Zoe and Jode knew they wanted a beautiful showpiece for their reception bar and beverage service, so they decided on our White Cosmo Bars. They made a wonderful station for the bartenders from Tucker’s Southside to serve guests.
To match the softness of their wedding theme, Zoe and Jode chose our French Country Chairs for their reception, and we think they were a wonderful addition!ย Their clean lines and warm wood tones looked beautiful against the white lace linens. The stunning floral centerpieces, also created by Ashton Events, stood tall at the head table.
Everyone likes a little sparkle, so Zoe and Jode added touches of gold throughout the space. Our Gold Belmont Chargers were just the right bit of shine on the table to make each place setting a little more special.
Studded with light pink flowers tucked into each tier, the wedding cake from J’aime Cakes looked lovely on our Silver Cake Stand.
The happy couple and event guests danced on into the night with the live band Musical Fantasy leading the way. With the help from Cole’s Classic Cars and Lakeland Valet, the lovebirds drove off into the night and began the rest of their lives together!
