Introducing Runway Events, One of Central Florida’s Top Wedding Planners
Anyone who has been behind the scenes of a wedding knows just how much work goes into the big day. Turning a couple’s dreams into a reality isn’t always easy, but the team at Runway Events makes it look that way. We had a chance to sit down and chat with Rebekkah Rosado and find out a little more about her business and pick her brain on some stress-free planning advice.
How did you get your start in the event business?
I originally started touring with concerts and festivals and assisted with band riders, stage sets and run of the show. One of my friends was getting married and she asked me to plan her wedding and the rest is history! From there, I fell in love with wedding planning and shortly after started my company, Runway Events. I loved how personal everything was and I took it SO seriously that I was a part of one of the biggest days of their lives.
What do you love most about being in the event/wedding business?
I love that every couple is SO different. The uniqueness of each event and being part of the best day ever is something that I never had in the music industry. I love leaving a wedding and saying, “I helped make that happen”. Best feeling ever.
If a bride is considering a theme to their wedding, what is your best recommendation for incorporating a theme?
I’m all about being yourself. With all of the craziness of social media, there is so much that can pull us in different directions and Pinterest is amazing but can also be a black hole! I would recommend deciding what style makes the bride feel like herself – and don’t deter from that. It’s so easy to let others influence you but it is YOUR wedding and your guests will notice right away if you lost sight of that.
What approach do you advise in order for it to be tasteful and yield an amazing looking event?
The biggest thing is to “brand” your wedding and choose a cohesive theme and not lose track of that.
When people inquire about your services, what can they expect?
Friendly customer service and a quick response. We can’t wait to be friends!
What is your best advice to avoid planning stress for any special event?
PRIORITIZE. Everything is not due at the very second you get engaged (I know, crazy right!?). So…make sure to take a breath, talk things over with your fiance and make sure that you choose quality vendors that will take care of you throughout the planning process.
