November Chiavari Chair Winners: Amanda and Wayne

Congratulations to our November 2013 Chiavari Chair winners:

Amanda & Wayne

Read more about this couple, how they met and bonded over horseback riding. It started with a romantic location, Wayne proposed, she accepted! Their wedding colors are destined to be plum, silver, and bright orange! We can’t wait to see how their dream wedding turns out and we are so glad to be a part of it!

Where did you meet?

Amanda: We were neighbors growing up when Wayne’s father moved to North Apopka. We met through a mutual friend and neighbor, Deano (Larry) Daniels who we will expect to see at the wedding. Riding my horse was my passion and Deano was the neighbor to be around if I wanted to go horseback riding. Wayne seemed to be over at Deano’s house often and we ended up spending time together there talking. One day Wayne finally convinced me to take a ride into town to get some lunch and over 7 years later here we are!

How did you know he was the one for you?

Amanda: I feel different with him than I have with anyone else, more comfortable and secure. He makes me feel confident about myself and he supports me when I need him and on a deep level I know he is the one for me. He causes me to feel like he will always be there for me when I get home and he will always come home to me.

What are the things you have in common?

Amanda: We enjoy watching TV series together in the evening to wind down after a long day and we enjoy making each other laugh.

How did he propose?

Amanda: Wayne proposed to me after a nice dinner in Altamonte Springs. We took a long walk around the lake at Cranes Roost and made it almost all of the way back to where we started before he decided it was the right moment. Of course I said ‘yes’ and the rest is history!

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?

Amanda: Seeing the look on my groom’s face when he sees the ring I got for him. I really love to surprise him with a cool gift he will love. Another important moment for me is when he first sees me in my dress… I know we are both going to cry, I’m crying now thinking about it. We have been waiting for over 5 years for this day.

What inspired your wedding colors?

Amanda: Our colors are plum, silver, and bright orange. I love the color purple right now. We renovated our house recently and I decided that a light purple color would be romantic as a color for our bedroom. After we painted the bedroom and bathroom in different shades of light purple I fell in love with the color purple and it actually became my new favorite. So, of course, I had to choose a shade of purple as one of my wedding colors and I love splashes of color so I threw bright orange into the mix for an extra jolt. Everyone looks at me funny when I tell them our colors but I am in love with my mash up and I hope it turns out to be as nice in reality as it is in my head!

Congratulations! We are thrilled on your win and can’t wait for your wedding!
