We would like to introduce you to Natasha and Alex, our May Winners! The couple has won our drawing for $500 off their wedding rental with us. Here’s a little more about their love story.
My fiancé and I met in driver’s ed class during summer school of 2005! At the very beginning of class, we were way too shy to speak to each other but the staring and sweet smiles were definitely traded back in forth within a day of noticing one another. After finally saying “hi” to each other, the chemistry was obvious. Summer school ended shortly after and on the very last day I went for it! I kissed my soon to be boyfriend, high school sweetheart, and now my fiancé. We have now been together for almost 9 years and are finally tying the knot and couldn’t be more excited to start our lives together! Our next chapter! We have so much in common and share so many of the same values. Family is a huge priority, to us God comes first, and we both love food with a passion and trying new things!
On Thanksgiving morning of 2013, Alex proposed at my grandparents’ cabin close to Blue Ridge, Georgia. That very morning, Alex woke up, put on his Florida Gator shirt (my dad’s favorite football team), and went to ask him for my hand in marriage. I had no idea, no clue, and no hint of what was about to happen that afternoon. As we were getting ready to go eat Thanksgiving dinner and putting on our jackets, Alex began to say little thank you speech, which seemed ideal because it was Thanksgiving DUH! Then his voice turned toward me a bit louder, a bit shakier, and a bit more emotional words tumbled from his nervous lips. Then he got down on one knee in front of my entire family and asked me to marry him. After that it was pure waterworks!
If I had to pinpoint one part of the wedding that I am looking forward to the most, it is walking down the aisle and getting to see my fiancé’s face for the first time as he sees me in my wedding dress!
We decided on our wedding colors based off the time of the year, which is fall. We are using a pop of burnt orange tones, ivory, and some gold for shimmer and sparkle! It’s going to be the Blingin’ Fall wedding of the year!! These gold chivari chairs from A Chair Affair will make our venue seem like something right out of a fairytale. We are on cloud nine with all of this actually happening, and despite the stress and expenses of a wedding, we know it will be worth it.
