Meet our latest chiavari chair winners, Kristy and Michael! Read further to learn where Michael took Kristy to propose and how co-ed flag football changed their lives!

Where did you meet your fiancée?
I met Michael through mutual friends from work. My friend invited me to play on a co-ed flag football team and thankfully I said sure! We didn’t talk much that day and months went by before we ran into each other again. After we started talking to each other, a friendship developed immediately.

How did you know he was the one for you?
To start, he was one of the most caring, intelligent, genuine and funny people I had ever met and I instantly felt so comfortable around him. Once my friends met him and told me how perfect he was for me, that reaffirmed it — he was the one!

What are the things you have in common?
Some things we both love include our 2 miniature Dachshunds, traveling and watching/playing sports together.

How did he propose?
Michael proposed on a trip to the Dominican Republic. We went to an all-inclusive resort for a week stay and the first night while walking down the beach, he proposed! The next day his sister and brother-in-law flew in and we had one of the best vacations ever!

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
I am looking forward to see all of our family and friends. We can’t wait to share this special day with our favorite people. Without them we wouldn’t be the people we are today and we are so thankful to have them in our lives.

What inspired your wedding colors?
I started with Pinterest but ultimately choose the color navy because it is one of my favorite colors and then peach as an accent color because I thought peach & ivory flowers would look so pretty against the navy bridesmaid dresses. Our gold chiavari chairs from A Chair Affair will coordinate perfectly and tie everything together. I can’t wait to see it!
