Elizabeth & Lee – Dusty Blue Lake Nona Wedding
When it came to celebrating in 2020, our clients took a page from Mr. Tim Gunn himself and “made it work.” So, when the date for Elizabeth and Lee’s Lake Nona Golf & Country Club wedding had to be moved due to the pandemic, they went with it. And, then when the skies threatened their outdoor dusty blue wedding ceremony, they happily moved into the beautiful ballroom. Our bride reassured everyone that in the end, all that mattered was that they were married. With an impeccable vendor team, led by the planning team at Melanie Paige Events, we all worked to create a magical day for Elizabeth and Lee. And the super talented Alexis Kline Photography captured the day.
The Details
When it comes to a dusty blue wedding, we have seen a few that have captured our hearts. From vintage to classic, this color palette is perfect all year round. And when it came to wedding day details, the florals wowed us. The talented Katy Stuart created beautiful creamy white with hints of blue bouquets for the ladies. The guys wore classic tuxes and a single bloom boutonnière.
Before the ceremony, Elizabeth and Lee calmed their pre-wedding jitters with a sweet first look. Thanks to the team from Kristy’s Artistry Design Team Elizabeth looked stunning. We loved her flirty chignon updo which was a perfect compliment to her bridal gown from Nordstrom.
Rain and Shine…
While the weather might have made us move to Plan B, Elizabeth and Lee’s original plan never changed – to say “I Do.” The vendor teamed worked to move the outdoor ceremony into the reception ballroom, which included our white wood columns that framed their vows. With their friends and family surrounding them, they shared the sweetest words and then the sweetest kiss.
After the vows, and while the rain came down, the newlyweds spent the night dancing and celebrating with their friends and family. And in the end, they did just what they had planned to do, get married. Congrats Elizabeth and Lee, your dusty blue wedding was gorgeous and we are honored to have been part of it!
