February 2021 – Casey and Cody Wedding Rental Winners

Where did you meet your fiancée?
Cody and I met through his aunt (one of my co-workers). I was dating someone else but she would always talk about Cody – and was doing the same thing to him. So when I became single Cody reached out. And that was it from our first date.
How did you know he was the one for you?
I knew he was the one for me because he is patient with me and my daughter. He did not initially want any children but he has taken on the role of dad to my (now) 6 year old daughter. She was just shy of 3 when we met. He is always making me laugh and we balance each other out. I’m adventurous and like to stay busy, he’s laid back. So we get a good mix. Personality wise it’s the same balance. I’m a little more OCD, more easily stressed and he’s laid back.
What are the things you have in common?
Things we have in common- a love of theme parks and rides, trying new food, being on the boat/lake.
How did he propose?
He proposed when we went to Daytona Beach for the weekend with his aunt (the one who introduced us). It was their wedding anniversary and our 3 year dating anniversary. We all went to dinner and he proposed in the restaurant. I didn’t stop crying happy tears until after dessert. 😉
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
The part of the wedding I am most looking forward to is walking down the aisle to him. Saying I Do forever. We also have been working on a choreographed dance for our first dance so I’m really excited to do that and surprise everyone with our dance moves.
What inspired your wedding colors?
Wedding colors- I honestly couldn’t find any two colors I really loved together. But I love rose gold. So we used rose gold/blush and varying shades of wood that are in the cake stand, the welcome sign, etc.
