April 2019 – Brooke and Justin Wedding Rental Winners

Each month, one of our couples wins $500 off their wedding rentals. Say hello to our lucky April winners, Brooke and Justin! We can’t wait to share their love story with you! Read on for our chat with the bride and groom, Brooke and Justin:

Where did you meet your fiancé?

Justin and I met through a mutual friend. We all went to a baseball game together and he sat behind me. We have a picture from the game actually and we spoke briefly that day. But it wasn’t till about 2 years later that we would reconnect.

How did you know that he was the one for you?

I knew he was the one for me when I couldn’t help but realize  that I always thought about him and shared everything with him. When I was feeling low, he was the only person in the world I wanted around me. But most importantly, when I knew without a doubt I could depend on him no matter what.

What are the things you have in common?

We both love going to the beach and being on the water. We love to travel and snorkel and our chocolate lab Duke. Most importantly though are our values. We both value family and God. We want to have a family together and share our life together. We are completely on the same page when it comes to the important things and that is an awesome thing to have with someone.

How did he propose?

The way he proposed was precious! As I said, we both love our chocolate lab Duke dearly. So for his 4th birthday I baked Duke a doggie cake and we took him to Lake Hollingsworth in downtown Lakeland. We chose a park bench to sit at and admire the scenery, with the ducks and Duke right with us. Then, Justin just plopped down on his knee and asked!! It was simple and perfect and private. He said he wanted to do it on Duke’s birthday because Duke won’t always be with us, but he is a huge part of our lives. This special memory includes him and will be cherished forever and I love that he was part of it!

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?

There are too many to name just one. Having Justin see me for the first time is number one! Second, is my dad walking me down the aisle; as we have talked about it my whole life. I’m also very excited to see all my family together at once. Since I am the  oldest grandchild, having all my cousins together is a huge first for my family!

What inspired your wedding colors?
