Every month, one lucky couple wins the draw to receive $500 off their wedding rentals with A Chair Affair. So without further ado, meet our August 2018 wedding rental winners – Lynnden and Tanner! We chatted with the bride-to-be to hear her and Tanner’s love story, wedding details, and more!
Where did you and your fiancé meet?
Tanner and I first met the summer of 2013 at a camp. We didn’t talk much then, but then he came to the college I was attending and we became great friends over my senior year! We ended up sharing a summer together traveling to different summer camps all over the country and that’s where it all started!
How did you know he was the one for you?
Tanner is one of the funniest people I know. He is truly my best friend and he pushes me to be a better person. He shows me selfless love and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be married to him!
What are the things you have in common?
We both share a love for God. That is the foundation of our marriage. We both enjoy humor, traveling, singing, and just being with each other!
Please share some details of the proposal.
He proposed on November 4th, 2017 at the Riverwalk in Downtown Tampa, the same place he asked me to be his girlfriend on September 4th, 2015. He had the sweetest setup of pictures and candles around a bench. I think we were both too shaky and excited to notice the strangers walking by on the Riverwalk stopping to watch and cheer. It was truly a magical moment between the two of us.
What part of your wedding day did you look forward to most?
I was so excited to be surrounded by the people we love. I was very grateful to have the support group we had come and share our special day! But it all led up to the moment I got to meet Tanner’s eyes at the end of the aisle. That was by far what I looked forward to the most and the moment it happened far exceeded any expectations I had.
What was the inspiration for your wedding vision/colors?
I have always loved rose gold and I was attracted to the dark navy color accented with blush and light grey. It was difficult to narrow the colors down, but once I saw them together, I knew they were perfect for us! As far as vision goes, I fell in love with the whole venue at Haus 820. The tall brick walls and exposed rafter ceilings were perfect for my style. I love simple but beautiful things, and that’s what the black Chiavari chairs and white brick walls gave me!
