Meet this wonderful couple! Despite their college football differences, Steve and Shannon found true love, bonding over their mutual love for travel. Keep reading to learn about their wedding inspiration and how Steve proposed!

 

Where did you meet your fiancée?
Steve and I met at a mutual friends house for the Florida vs. Florida State football game. I’m a Seminole and he’s a Gator.

How did you know he was the one for you?
I knew Steve was the one for me because he has many important qualities that I am lacking. He makes me feel whole. We make a great team! He is my best friend.

What are the things you have in common?
Steve and I both grew up in South Florida, so we enjoy boating, going to the beach, and fishing. We also love to ski. However, our greatest passion is to travel.

How did your fiancée propose?
Steve proposed over Thanksgiving weekend exactly six years after we first met. We were on a cruise in Jamaica. He proposed and then took me to the store and let me custom-make my ring. We drank Red Stripe beer and picked it out together. It was perfect!

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
I am looking forward to seeing all of our friends and family there to celebrate with us. We are planning on having one hell of a party! I’m also looking forward, to walking down the aisle and seeing Steve’s face.

What inspired your wedding colors?
My wedding colors are green and peach. The inspiration came from Pinterest, of course!
