Travel Inspired Styled Wedding

For the love of travel

Styled wedding shoots are a fun collaborative effort between wedding professionals to create inspirational images and to showcase their talents. It’s a staged wedding without the actual ceremony or reception. We are diving into a Travel Inspired Styled Wedding for today’s shoot. The Design and planning were done by The Busy Bee Events & Design. With this theme established a dream team of Orlando event professionals was put together. A Chair Affair was thrilled to represent the Orlando area for event rentals. Bumby Photography captured all the amazing photos of the day.

The INVITATIONS

This wedding theme was created for anyone who loves to travel the world. Or for a couple that has ties to flying or aviation of any kind. To start Pretty Peacock Paperie came up with the idea to create the save the dates as plane tickets, while the invitations were styled as a passport holder. Along with that, they also created a boarding pass that would have the guest’s name on it and tell them which table they were to sit at. They used a giant board to mimic what would be in an airport, with the table number and the name of the table itself. Then using their boarding pass and the board they would put together which table they were assigned to. Such a neat and clever way to add fun and whimsy into your day!

Table decor and setup

With the plane in the background, the table setup was picturesque. All the décor and flowers were brought in by Lee Forrest Design. They used a round table and draped it with purple linens. Then for the centerpieces, they added a small travel suitcase at the base and sat an array of purple and white flowers atop it. For added décor, they included a pilot’s hat and a metal Eiffel tower. We provided the French Country Chairs that went around the table setup. Sitting atop the table were our Champagne Glitter Glass Chargers, Baroque Flatware, and Crystal Stemware. For an added touch a map was folded into a paper airplane and placed upon the chargers to complete the travel look.

The Cake

The cake that was brought in for this shoot was stunning. It was made by none other than Everything Cake. It was a 4 layer cake with the bottom layer having a map that was cut up and layered all across it. The cake was displayed on top of a travel suitcase, with a pilot’s hat and goggles. A globe was also sitting close by to pull the look together.
