July 2021 Wedding Rental Winners – Gina and Thuan

Where did you meet your fiancée?

We met in Boston, Massachusetts, and connected through Hinge!

How did you know he was the one for you?

I knew right away that he was the one after the 2nd date. We just went hiking through the woods and had lunch at a Chinese restaurant and on the ride back to the city we talked non-stop and laughed the whole time. It was so easy and seamless how our conversations went and I felt like I could really disclose everything to him and not feel judged.

What are the things you have in common?

We both love to try new things; especially food! We also love playing video games, binge-watching Netflix anime shows, and enjoying the outdoors; either paddleboarding or hiking!

How did he propose?

He proposed on my birthday! I worked that day and I came home to a candle-lit home-cooked meal. After eating, he brought out my favorite type of cake and got on one knee, and proposed. It was perfect and intimate – just what I wanted.

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?

I think it’s a toss-up between the first look and the actual reception.  There’s a lot of moving parts to the wedding so I’m super excited to see it all come together!

What inspired your wedding colors?

We are getting married on the rooftop in downtown St. Pete with a nice green turf and string lights everywhere. The theme is “intimate romantic garden party.” So a lot of the colors being used are soft pastel pinks and blues with pops of colors of yellow and green!
