Where did you and your fiancé meet?

My fiancé and I met through mutual friends at the University of Florida our junior year.

How did you know that Thomas was the one for you?

I knew that Thomas was the one for me because he is extremely patient and kind. He’s my best friend – so you kind of just know.

What are the things you have in common?

We have many things in common. First and foremost, our values and ethics are very similar. We are both very family-oriented people, and that’s one of the most important qualities to have, I think.

How did he propose?

Thomas and I were long-distance for about two years. He lived in Alabama while I lived in Tampa, and we would try and see each other about every 3 weeks or so. Thomas was home for a long weekend at his parents’ house in Venice, Florida, and had a big plan to propose to me that Saturday in Boca Grande. However, a huge tropical storm blew in and destroyed his romantic plans. Knowing that he had to fly back to Alabama the next day, he proposed to me that night at his parents’ house while everyone was at a friend’s party. He called me into another room and was down on one knee! I couldn’t believe it – I was so happy and surprised!

What part of your wedding day are you looking forward to most?

I’m looking forward to marrying my best friend the most!

What is the inspiration for your wedding colors?

I don’t think I have an exact inspiration for colors – I have just always loved slate blue, ivory, and blush pink together.
