Where did you and your fiancé meet?
Steven and I actually met at work; he convinced a coworker of ours to try and play matchmaker and set us up on a blind date. At first, I was resistant to the idea, then I figured out it was Steven and decided it would be harmless going on one date, since he seemed like a nice guy. The rest is history.
How did you know he was the one for you?
As crazy as it may sound, I knew after our first date when he kissed me that he was different and that I found “the one.”
What are the things you have in common?
We both have a passion for cooking, music, traveling and most importantly, we just balance each other out.
How did he propose?
It was June 19th, 2016 and our much needed vacation finally arrived. We went out onto the beach at sunset to take some photos of the gorgeous skyline. Of course, with perfect timing, the sky opened up and started to rain like it always does during the summer in Florida. We decided, heck with it, we are just going to sit and wait it out. As soon as the rain finally stopped, he asked if he could ask me a question; that is when he asked me to marry him. I said yes and we both cried (he denies it but I know the truth!)
What part of your wedding day are you looking forward to most?
I know it is probably cliche to say, but the part I look forward to most is getting to marry my best friend. The rest is just fluff compared to that.
What is the inspiration for your wedding colors?
Our color palate is gold, navy, ivory and rose gold. I feel like those colors represent something classic and timeless and fit our romantic vintage theme.
