Good Counsel Camp: Kayla and Stephen

Every love story is special and sweet in its own way, and Kayla and Stephen’s wedding was no exception. Like true romantics, Kayla and Stephen had their wedding where it all started – Good Counsel Camp, where they first met years ago.

It was certainly an unusual but unique choice, as the Good Counsel Camp has never been a wedding venue before, but by the time the décor was done, you wouldn’t have known it! Runway Events did a wonderful job creating such a stunning event, as usual, with The Hons there every step of the way to beautifully capture every tiny detail, preserving the day for years to come.

Kayla and Stephen’s ceremony was intimate, sweet, and absolutely beautiful. The camp had been decorated with simple yet eye-catching touches, including fun signage pointing guests in the right direction for the ceremony and reception, some cute, loving quotes, and, our favorite part, a timeline of the couple’s love story, spanning from 1992 to 2015.

Stephen was clearly smitten as he saw his bride walking toward him, and we can see why. Kayla made a lovely vision in soft, radiant makeup and an easy, romantic updo by Michele Renee The Studio, with flowers from Bluegrass Chic adorning her hair.

After they said their I Do’s and had their first dance, the newlyweds took the party outside. Fairy lights and our French Country Chairs were just the thing to add a romantic yet homey vibe to the outdoor reception. After feasting on a delicious dinner by 4 Rivers, Kayla and Stephen – and their guests, of course – danced their hearts out, all the way till they finally rode off into the night in a golf cart.
