February 2020 – Julie and Tom Wedding Rental Winners

Where did you meet your fiancée?
In the summer of 2015, we met in Falls Church, Virginia – I had just moved there for a job in Washington D.C. and did not know many people. Tom was one of the first people I met and we hit it off from there!
How did you know he was the one for you?
Within the first year of our relationship, there was a huge snowstorm and we were snowed in together. I knew he was the one because even though we couldn’t go anywhere or do anything we still had fun and loved being around each other.
What are the things you have in common?
We like to go out for date nights trying new restaurants, activities, and going to Disney World. We usually prefer to stay home curled up on the couch over going out. Our biggest thing in common is our sense of humor and making each other laugh. We also both love dancing together!
How did he propose?
He proposed in December of 2018 at home after making a dinner (which is a rare occasion for him) and cleaning the entire house. He hung a sign saying “Will You Marry Me?” and got down on one knee – which was the first thing I saw as I walked through the door. I was not as surprised that he proposed as I was that he cleaned the house!
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
Our first dance!
What inspired your wedding colors?
I knew I wanted soft colors as we are getting married in Spring in an outdoor garden with a lot of greenery and bright flowers around us. I picked blush, champagne, and gold as my primary colors and navy for the groomsmen.
