Asolo Repertory Theater Annual Gala

A wave of blue

The 65th annual We Got Rhythm Asolo Repertory Theater Annual Gala was a night of success! With a theme of Sapphire Season, everyone came, to the Ritz Carlton Sarasota, dressed to the nines in different shades of blue. While being the year’s largest fundraiser for the theatre, dining, auctions, live music and dancing are all things to expect during this exciting night. Above all, it’s a night to have fun while supporting the theatre in the process. Let’s look at this successful night and see all the beautiful photos captured by Peter Acker Photography.

Gala Details

Walking into the Gala, you’re greeted by nothing but sheer elegance. With linens draped along the walls, a backlight was placed to cast a blue hue throughout the room. Also, round tables were placed throughout the room and draped in blue lines. In addition, Flowers by Fudgie brought in and created beautiful centerpieces with their florals. Having used different varieties of flowers, all having a different shade of blue. Furthermore, we provided our Clear Chiavari Chairs and Black Pads to be seated around the tables.

Dancing, Auction, and live music

With excitement buzzing in the air guests arrive and begin to file into the gala. To begin, welcoming speeches were given to show gratitude to everyone who attended the event to help raise money for the theatre. Then, followed by the auction. Unlike other years, this one happened to be the largest grossing auction to date for the organization, raising over 700,000 to go towards the theatre. After the auction, the rest of the night was full of live music and dancing. Guests found their way to the dance floor and enjoyed the evening.

Cheers to a successful night

All in all the night was a success! But the true measure of success wasn’t just the financial gain. It was the sense of community fostered, the compassion ignited, and the collective belief in the power of giving.
