Where did you meet your fiancée?
We met at sleep-away summer camp when we were 15yrs and 16yrs old. We have been together for twelve years..
How did you know he was the one for you?
Just seeing the way he has supported me through everything in life. From our high school and college graduations, to losses of our some of our loved ones, new careers, losing my job during the pandemic, to building a home, and getting our first dog (our fur baby Vivian). He supports me in my decisions and helps guide me when I don’t know what next big decision to make. He is my rock.
What are the things you have in common?
We love traveling together. We are big into all kinds of sports, specifically football and baseball though. He played baseball growing up and I played softball. (We are working on seeing every single MLB stadium together.) We both have a geeky side, we really enjoy watching anything Star Wars or Marvel related movies and we enjoy going out on our boat with our dog.
How did he propose?
We went on a trip to Oahu, Hawaii for my birthday in 2021. I hired a photographer to take some nice pictures of us to decorate our house some more. He had gone behind my back and contacted her to set up the proposal during the photo shoot. It was on a secluded beach on the North Shore of the island. It was absolute perfection.
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
My wedding day was flawless. You always expect SOMETHING to go wrong. Somehow I got lucky and everything went exactly as planned. A Chair Affair rocked it with the setup. It was all beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to ever use them again. The day was so much fun, our sweetheart table set up with the table and chairs from A Chair Affair were my favorite. Oh, and the photo backdrop was an absolute hit!
What inspired your wedding colors?
We have traveled all around the Caribbean together and were engaged in Hawaii so we had a tropical-themed wedding with lots of tropical greens and gold accents.
