A Sweet and Bright Styled Shoot
A modern take on a lovely theme comes together through attention to the finest details in this honey bee wedding styled shoot at Mission Inn Resort planned by Big Day Celebrations. The Hendricks captured every sweet moment and beautiful decoration. Our bride’s hair and makeup reflects the dreamy feeling, thanks to Laura Reynolds Artistry, and her dress from One and Only Bridal Boutique is as romantic as can be.
Perfect for a spring wedding, with bright colors and a floral focus, this honey bee theme brings charm and whimsy to everything from the invitations to the cake. Luxurious invitations with a honeycomb decoration perfectly capture the mood of the theme with modern, geometric hexagons and romantic handlettering. This decidedly chic combination of contemporary shapes next to charming details is a constant throughout the decor, keeping the feeling fresh yet perfectly suited for even a traditional wedding.
The same motif is carried through the beautiful and functional seating chart, created by Two Peas Designs. Each hexagon has a guest’s name written in calligraphy for a personal touch.
Perfectly combining rustic and elegant pieces, a whitewashed farm table and the Drema settee along with French country chairs create a lovely seating area. Equipped with 15″-high legs, the farm table shows its flexibility as a coffee table, which is important when considering wedding furniture rental. Perched in front of a dreamy hanging backdrop of hexagons dripping in flowers, our couple is surrounded by fresh colors and greenery made for a spring wedding.
Sweet vases reminiscent of beehives hold little bouquets in a picture-perfect dessert tableau. On a square whitewashed farm table, this yummy assortment is a feast for the eyes.
The honey bee wedding theme really comes together in the centerpieces! Long whitewashed farm tables are an elegant base for tufts of flowers in shades of pink, yellow, and orange tucked around stacks of gold hexagonal honeycomb. Small vases of flowers hug the honeycomb, giving it an over-the-top-feeling perfect for a celebration. This striking centerpiece is a lovely departure from the expected, and accentuates the long, regal tables. The decision to add ghost chairs keeps the overall feeling modern and sleek without distracting from the colorful tablescape.
This honey bee wedding theme is a whimsical and modern way to have a day filled with color and natural beauty. Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who came together to make this vision happen!
