2018 January Winners

Each month, we choose one lucky couple to win $500 off their wedding rentals –  so without further ado, meet our 2018 January winners  – Christie and Nick! We spoke with the beautiful bride-to-be and got all the details on her and Nick’s meet-cute, their wedding plans, and more!

Where did you meet your fiancé?

Nick and I met while we both were in high school. A mutual friend introduced us on my front porch and it was love at first sight.

How did you know they were the one for you?

I think I always knew Nick was the one. He sees the “me” that no one else gets to see and accepts me, loves me, and laughs with me.

What are the things you have in common?

Laughter is the biggest thing we have in common. We can be silly together and crack jokes all day. Laughter is the best medicine, we’re never sick!

How did he propose?

Nick proposed to me on our seven-year anniversary at the Harry Waugh Dessert Room at Bern’s Steakhouse. It felt the way that heaven should.

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?

As for the wedding, I look forward to marrying my best friend and dancing with all my friends and loved ones.

What inspired your wedding colors?

Our wedding colors are inspired by nature. I really wasn’t keen on the idea of picking a color palette to stick to. So I decided to just focus on the floral decor as my color theme. Prominent colors at the wedding will be peach ranunculus, eucalyptus. There will also be some touches of gold, ivory, and amber.
