Wedding Favor Friday- Citrus, Pashminas & More

We are asked all the time “What wedding favors or gifts do you recommend”? “I want my wedding favors to be unique and different”. This question inspired our upcoming weekly blog series entitled “Wedding Favor Friday”.

This week we are going to reveal the hottest trends in wedding favors for the Fall / Winter 2013 season.

We turned to our favorite magazines for inspiration.

The Knot Florida  highlighted 7 winning favor ideas in their last issue:

The Knot Favor Ideas 2013

Some of their top ideas we loved included:

-Pashminas for your guests in coordinating wedding colors for outdoor ceremonies that tend to get chilly.

-Straw hats for your rustic themed weddings. This is a great detail and provides the perfect country feel.

-Garden Plants these plants allow your guests to take a piece of your wedding home.  They also work as double purpose and can be used as escort cards. Save money and be green- literally!

Orlando Wedding Magazine’s Fall/Winter 2013 issue showcased an amazing array of ideas that are totally Florida citrus inspired!

Our favorite ideas included:

Personalized candles – Everyone LOVES candles and what better way then to add some personalization for this special take-away. These candles can be brought locally via Hardy’s Scentuous Soy Candle Co. located in Orlando.

Jellies and Marmalades – Nothing says Florida more than fresh jarred jellies and marmalades available from the Florida Orange Shop.  They even have gift baskets!

Handmade Soaps- Country Chic Soaps in Altamonte Springs makes these amazingly fragrant soaps that even can be personalized with your initials and anniversary date. Available in citrus, lavender, lemongrass and cedarwood-orange. What a great and unique idea!
