Mountain Lake Colony House Wedding with a Floridian Citrus Touch
A wedding theme is a beautiful look into the personalities and priorities of the couple designing it. Some weddings are dramatic and filled with glitter and glam; other weddings are modern and minimal. We love peeking into our couples’ lives through what they choose to include in their weddings, and each one is a beautiful representation of their love. MaryBeth and Patrick celebrated their wedding with meaningful details that reflect their love for their hometown, and their Mountain Lake Colony House wedding was a spectacular day of color, fun, laughter and love!
The Florida theme started with invitations created by Lemontree Paper Co, which featured a personalized crest and whimsical sandhill cranes. Bride MaryBeth states, “Having both grown up in Lake Wales, in Central Florida, we wanted our wedding to highlight all the beauty and charm our small, historic town has to offer. Our crest was designed around the area’s iconic landmark, Bok Tower (one of the world’s most renowned singing carillons), which proudly stands behind Mountain Lake Estates, where I grew up.”
The bride chose elegant details for her styling, opting for classic Jimmy Choo heels for her walk down the aisle. Her Carolina Herrera gown chosen from the beautiful selection at The Collection Bridal was modern in its sleek design with just enough romantic details for the special occasion.
The bride made an unconventional choice that paid off in gorgeous ways when it came to the bridesmaids’ dresses. Their white Jenny Yoo Collection gowns broke tradition, but were a gorgeous and airy addition to the light and bright color scheme. The bride and her bridesmaids each carried bouquets of wild and wonderful white flowers and greenery created by the talented floral artists at Raining Roses Productions. Their floral design throughout the wedding was a dreamy burst of flowers and greenery.
The groom and his groomsmen wore classic tuxedos with black bow ties and dapper boutonnieres. Their tuxes were from The Black Tux.
Jensen Larson Photography captured every sweet moment of their wedding, including their intimate ceremony at the couple’s church. As they exchanged their vows, MaryBeth and Patrick both beamed with joy. Their family and friends were touched by their loving ceremony.
After MaryBeth and Patrick were pronounced husband and wife, their guests continued to the Colony House for the fun-filled reception. Their personalized crest filled the dance floor with personality, while Kaleidoscope Event Lighting transformed the room with color.
The expansive space of the Colony House was beautifully decorated with palms and magnolias. Such a large space meant we could use various sizes of tables, giving the room a varied look. To achieve this look, we used different sizes of Round Folding Tables, Square Folding Tables, and Square Cocktail Tables. Our Whitewashed Farm Table was a striking addition to the room. To keep the bright and light color scheme, we paired our White Chiavari Chairs and White Chiavari Barstools to complete the seating.
MaryBeth and Patrick opted for a live band to bring some energy to their reception, and Surround Sound did not disappoint! Their setlist of timeless party songs, new hits, and romantic melodies kept guests on the dance floor all night long.
Their four-tier cake stood regally at their reception, and it was the perfect dessert for the guests’ Puff ‘n’ Stuff catered dinner.
As the reception came to an end, MaryBeth and Patrick exited through their family and friends with big smiles and full hearts. Their wedding day was over, but their life together was just beginning! Congratulations again, MaryBeth and Patrick! We are so happy we could be part of your Mountain Lake Colony House wedding, and we wish you years of happiness!
