It was a magical day in May when Britney and Sean decided to tie the knot. Friends and family gathered from all around to witness this perfect match’s union. Alexis Jean Events planned the perfect day, using the theme of black and gold and an added touch of the starry sky. Ali Nasser captured the events of the day beautifully and showcased all the hard work put into pulling the day off. Let’s dive into this Starry Wedding at Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art.

getting ready

To begin, Fairytale Hair and Make-up came in and pulled together an amazing wedding look for Britney. Starting with her hair curled into gorgeous ringlets and pinned back. Having her hair pulled back showcased the beautiful gold eye shadow and bold red lip used to pull together this look. An added detail was the crown she wore upon her head, which styled a gold half-moon in the center and leaves in between each pillar. Britney didn’t go with your traditional white wedding dress. Instead, she wore a stunning strapless black gown with lace detailing throughout. She paired it with a gold metal belt that had half-moons and stars along it. Meanwhile, Sean went with a traditional black pinstripe suit and paired it with a gold undershirt to go along with the wedding theme.

Standing in a gallery room with portraits all around, Sean has his back turned. Britney then enters behind him as anticipation swirls in the air. She approaches him, gently places her hand on his shoulder, and begins to turn him. Tears well up in his eyes as he gazes upon his stunning bride. He gives her a twirl and pulls her into an embrace. The two share this special time together alone. Soaking in those last moments before they become husband and wife.

ceremony

Standing in the middle of the split staircase, Sean patiently awaits his bride. Britney descends the staircase on the arm of her father, as her long billowing train is held behind her. The two come together and hold hands as the ceremony begins. The couple stand and read their devoted vows to one another. Then they exchange rings, are pronounced husband and wife, and share their first kiss. Then, hand in hand, they descend the rest of the stairs together as their guests watch them exit the room.

reception

The doors open to the recaption at the Museum of Art, and the guests are asked to find their seats in the stars. Round tables are placed around the room, draped in black linen, and a sheer golden starry fabric is placed on top. Carrying on with the theme, our Gold Chiavari Chairs and Black Pads are placed around all the tables. The newlyweds sit behind a half-moon table on our comfortable Carolina Settee. Behind them is a half-moon-shaped arch draped in lacy gold star fabric.

The couple entered the reception and took to the dance floor and swayed to the music under the twinkling lights. Then, guests share heartwarming toasts and give them all their well wishes. Next, a buffet of food is served as chatter and laughter fill the air. Lastly, the couple chose to have Ben and Jerry’s ice cream as their yummy dessert for the evening.

Congrats!

The newlyweds and their guests danced through the night and cherished every second before the night came to an end. Everyone made memories and had the night of their lives.
