Megan + Jake
These recent college grads knew they had to have their big day right in the city where they fell in love. Their Navy University of Florida Wedding in Gainesville brought together all their family, friends, and their favorite things. Megan and Jake chose to use blue, which is one of the Gator’s colors as a nod to their alma mater. Photographer Hundreds of Moments captured these beautiful moments and we can’t wait to take a peek into their beautiful wedding day.
A Beautiful Bride and Bridesmaids
Megan chose an elegant strapless gown with a long train and veil. She picked out stunning all white bouquets with roses sprinkled with baby’s breath. Her bridesmaids had a lot of fun getting ready and Megan got them all matching navy PJs for the occasion. Their dresses were all floor length and navy but each bridesmaid selected their own style of dress. These ladies looked amazing!
Sharp Dressed Groom
Jake wanted a traditional look as well. He opted for a black tux, black bow tie, crisp white shirt, and black suspenders. He also had an all white boutonniere. The groomsmen also looked sharp wearing this same matching combination. The camaraderie between these friends was special and it’s clear they had so much fun getting ready together.
Going to the Chapel
Megan and Jake had their ceremony inside the sanctuary at their church. The sanctuary had dramatic wood beam cathedral ceilings and a clean white stage that made their hexagon arch stand out. Megan walked down the aisle on the arm of her father. Friends and family watched on as they said their vows, exchanged rings and had their first kiss. The ceremony was elegant and perfect!
Time to Celebrate!
After saying I Do, the wedding party moved to a nearby hotel banquet center for the reception. Guests were seated at round tables and in our Chiavari Chairs. The place settings had gold chargers, navy napkins, and gold flatware. Our Greenery Wall gave everyone the perfect Photo Booth backdrop and guests donned props and had silly fun taking lots of pics. The newlyweds had a beautiful first dance while everyone looked on. Their wedding cake was all white with a Gators themed topper. The groom’s cake was a unique castle and dragon creation with a picture of the couple looking out the window. The party went late into the evening with everyone taking to the dance floor. Megan and Jake left the party with a sparkler send-off and final kiss.
