High School Sweethearts: Carlos and Clare

Every couple has a great story to tell, but Carlos and Clare’s love story is just the sweetest thing; you’d think it was straight out of a romance movie! These two first meet in high school, during Spanish class, and over time, their mutual crush grew and became true love.

After being together for nine years, Clare knew just how she wanted their wedding to be, and how to make it just right for her and Carlos’s personalities and natures. With Blush by Brandee Gaar at the helm, their big day was practically guaranteed to be memorable and just a dream come true, with Cricket’s Photography there every step of the way to capture every perfect moment.

Guests received a warm welcome to the event with lovely chalkboard signage by Chalk Shop, while the tent that had been set up outdoors at a friend’s residence was carefully and loving decorated, with fresh greenery and lush flowers, lanterns and fairy-lights, and china in the most beautiful deep blue hues. Our French Country Chairs added just a touch of rustic charm to the décor, paired with our white Chameleon Tables, the table settings were absolutely breathtaking. The look was so gorgeous and all the colors were so balanced together with the deep blues and creamy white florals.

After a romantic, intimate ceremony, it was time to celebrate, and this couple really knows how to throw a party! Everyone got involved for the “second line” dance, using the New Orleans tradition to honor Clare’s family. And, of course, they couldn’t forget about Carlos’s Colombian heritage! Guests received some of the best wedding favors we’ve seen all year – little bags of fresh Colombian coffee. Sweet!
