Join us today to take a look inside this Great Gatsby Inspired Wedding at The Birchwood. Al and Dave’s wedding weekend extravaganza went off without a hitch. All the meticulous details were planned and executed to perfection by Parties A’ La Carte. All the amazing pictures were captured by the talented Alexis Kline Photography. The Rehearsal Dinner
Family and friends gathered the night before the big day for the rehearsal dinner. They took to the high seas and enjoyed an amazing dinner cruise. With a lovely view of the water, everyone enjoyed the beautiful night. Toasts were given by family and by the grooms themselves. Everyone was able to catch up with one another, sharing the excitement of what was to come the following day.
The prep
The grooms started the day by getting a fresh cut and a clean shave. For their attire, one went with a light grey tuxedo paired with a white shirt and black tie. While the other went with a classic black tuxedo. To keep with the Great Gatsby there, the guests were decked out in their roaring 20s best! Dresses with fringe all over, paired with hair pieces and headbands, we felt like we were in the heart of NYC in 1920!
The union
The ceremony was Gatsby personified. The back wall was draped in black linen with gold accents throughout the room. There were candles and flowers placed in front of the wall and our Black Ghost Chairs to set the scene. Guests were seated and the grooms were walked down the aisle by their friends and family. The two shared emotional vows with one another. Then they sealed the deal with a kiss.
Reception
The reception also shared the same vibe. The wall being draped in black linen with candles and flowers being the centerpieces on tables. Surrounding the tables were our Black Ghost Chairs. The grooms kicked off the night with an awesome dance number that they performed for everyone. Followed up by toasts to the happy couple. Guests danced the night away and had an amazing time celebrating the two men they love the most.
Brunch send-off
To say farewell to everyone they gathered for brunch the morning after the wedding. A bit more casual than the previous night, but fun and relaxed. The grooms were able to share their thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate their special day.
