Chris and Stevie shared a love of the outdoors, so when planning their wedding, Davis Islands Garden Club was the perfect fit. My Event Design captured the couple’s vision perfectly when planning the day. Everything went off without a hitch and the couple will remember today for the rest of their lives. Let’s dive in for a closer look at this Fall Wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club.

getting ready

To begin,  Stacy Paul Photography was there to capture all the events of today, starting with getting ready. The couple and all of their wedding party gathered at  Marriott Waterside to begin getting ready before the big ceremony. Stevie went with a fitted ivory-laced dress, with a long train that cascaded out behind her. While her bridesmaids all wore different styles and different shades of lilac purple for their gowns. It paired well with the bouquets that incorporated different shades of pink, white, and greenery. Meanwhile, Chris and his groomsmen went in your traditional black and white fitted suits. Once ready they all looked dashing and ready for the wedding ceremony.

the ceremony

The ceremony was situated outside under beautiful trees that shaded the area. With the picturesque Hillsborough River in the background and a white sunlit gazebo at the forefront, it was time for the couple to tie the knot. Chris stood in front next to his groomsmen and awaited his bride to walk down the aisle. Once the music began playing guests stood and turned to watch Stevie make her grand entrance. With her train billowing out behind her, she made her way down the aisle to her future husband. The couple stood hand in hand and exchanged words of love for one another. Then when they were pronounced husband and wife the couple shared their first kiss. The guests erupted with cheers when the newlyweds turned and walked out of the ceremony.

reception details

The couple sat at a gorgeous sweetheart table which contained cut-out wooden initials at the front. Which was then surrounded by a long strand of eucalyptus garland. As well as chair banners draped along the back of each seat saying Mr. and Mrs. For the rest of the tables the centerpieces contained florals that matched the bouquets, along with candles. Our Gold Belmont Chargers and Brushed Gold Flatware sat upon each table as a perfect added touch. The couple also added a cozy lounge area which contained vintage furniture. Our Windi Chair, Josie Chair, and Miguel Coffee Table were the perfect pieces to use in that area.

The party

The couple took to the dancefloor and shared their first dance as guests lined up and watched. Chris spun his wife around and then shared a tender kiss during this special moment. Guests enjoyed delicious food, and specialty cocktails and even had the opportunity to smoke cigars. The couple had their very own cigar station where guests could grab what they wanted and light up their cigars using custom matches with the couple’s name on them. When it came time for the cake the couple cut into their gorgeous three-layered white cake and shared the delicious dessert with all their guests. The rest of the night consisted of dancing, laughter, and memories.
