Beachy Wedding At The Opal Sands

It was a beautiful day to have a wedding in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Christina and Calvin love the ocean and chose the stunning Opal Sands Resort to host their big day. Blue Skies Wedding and Events planned the day to run smoothly and ensured it was one that no one would forget. Additionally, Love and Covenant captured all the stunning views from the ceremony and more. Let’s take a closer look into this Beachy Wedding at the Opal Sands.

Wedding prep

To begin the day, the bride and her wedding party got ready at the hotel in their wedding day pajamas, with the bride in your classic white and the bridesmaids in their seafoam green silk pajamas that match their dresses. While getting ready Christina went with a low-styled bun, with face-framing curled pieces for her wedding day hair look. Once her mom got her zipped into her gown she revealed her finished look to her friends. Everyone turned around and saw the beautiful bride that she was and couldn’t be happier for her on this special day. In the meantime, the groom and his groomsmen were getting ready and dressed in their dashing blue tuxedos, with white undershirts and seafoam green ties. Afterward, they shared a celebratory shot with their close friend to kick off the day before the ceremony.

First looks and personal vows

Once ready, Christina and Calvin head to the beach for their first look and private vows. With him turned looking out at the ocean, she comes down and turns him around to reveal her final look. The two embrace in that special moment and then proceed to share their written vows. The two take turns and both shed tears of happiness while listening to the other’s heartfelt words. At that moment they can’t wait to make that journey down the aisle and become husband and wife.

Down the Aisle

With the sparkling ocean in the background guests file in and wait for the ceremony to begin. A hexagon arch wrapped in white flowers and greenery stood at the forefront of the aisle. When the music started everyone stood and watched the radiating bride walk down the aisle on the arm of her father. Standing hand in hand the couple said “I do” in front of all their family and friends. Finally, the officiant pronounced them husband and wife and he kissed his bride. Then, the couple turn to their cheering guests and walks out hand in hand.

Reception

Now time for the party to begin! Upon entering the room you’re greeted with round tables draped in our White Poly Linen Tablecloths, and Gold Chiavari Chairs with Ivory pads as seating. To elevate the tables the centerpieces included tall floral holders that contained white flowers and greenery, as well as candles and votive holders to further enhance the look. Christina and Calvin celebrated their way into the room and saw how their vision came to life. The couple took to the floor and shared their first dance as husband and wife, then followed by each of their parents. Afterward, speeches and well wishes were given to the happy couple. The rest of the night contained merriment, cake cutting, and laughter by all.
