August Monthly Wedding Winners- Bridget and Nick. Every month, we love to celebrate the happy couples who’ve chosen us to be a part of their special day! This month, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Emily and Nick, whose incredible love story began at a Chicago church barbecue. Right from the start, a simple lunch turned into a 10-hour conversation, a testament to their instant connection. Now, as they plan their dream wedding, we’re excited to see how their journey unfolds and to help them create the perfect celebration.
Where did you meet your fiancée?
We met at a bbq hosted by mutual friends from our church in Chicago.
How did you know he was the one for you?
Pretty much from the get go! Our second date was supposed to be a quick lunch by the lake front in Chicago, but we ended up sitting there talking for 10 hours. We both texted each other the next day commiserating about our sunburns and sore backs. Nick was intentional and beyond gentlemanly. He made it pretty darn easy to fall for him.
What are the things you have in common?
Our love for God, our love for family and friends, and our love for a good workout.
How did he propose?
Nick proposed at sunset during a trip to Naples, FL. We were searching for shells, none of the ones he showed me were quite perfect until he showed me the last “shell” and got down on one knee. It was a PERFECT evening.
What part of the wedding day are you most looking forward to?
Our faith is the most important aspect of our lives. We are so excited and honored to commit to God and one another in front of all those we love. We’ve also never met a dance floor we didn’t like.
What inspired your wedding colors?
Our colors are your classic Winter colors, but wanted an old Florida feel. Golds, greens, white, with a hint of orange.
It’s clear that Bridget and Nick share a special bond rooted in faith, family, and fun. Therefore, their beautiful Naples, Florida, proposal was the perfect prelude to their upcoming nuptials. We are so honored to be a part of their special day and can’t wait to see their vision of “old Florida” winter colors—golds, greens, and whites with a pop of orange—come to life.
