Elizabeth and Luke
These two love birds were initially introduced through family friends and the rest was history! We’re so excited to have them as our April Monthly Wedding Rental Winners!
How did you know he was the one for you?
I knew Luke was the one for me on one of our first dates. I used to work very late and he surprised me when I got off by waiting at my car and took us to see a movie. While watching, I looked over and just immediately knew that I loved him and he would always care for me.
What are the things you have in common?
We both love Star Wars, being silly, having fun, and enjoying every small moment together. We both also love cats and have two beautiful fur babies together.
How did he propose?
Our anniversary is in mid December, so we always have other events and birthdays going on. On January 3rd when I got off work, Luke was dying to give me my belated Christmas gift. I spent all month guessing, and was so sure it was a new coffee maker. He led me to the kitchen and got down on one knee, and we spent the next hour holding each other on the kitchen floor. I couldn’t have imaged a better way to do it.
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
Since we have been together for 8 years, we didn’t want to wait at all! We got married on April 5th with 25 guests at his aunt’s house. Having our closest friends and family helping us set up during the day, and share such a special moment in our lives was the best thing we could have asked for. But honestly, I was the most excited to kiss him under the decorated altar.
What inspired your wedding colors?
Our wedding colors were pink and teal which are my and Luke’s favorite colors, but there were a ton of colors! We wanted lots of life and flowers because his mother watched from heaven, and she loved flowers.
