Where did you meet your fiancée?
We met on my 21st birthday around 3 years ago through a mutual friend that I worked with. That friend forced Drew to come along to a work outing we had to celebrate my birthday. Although we didn’t chat much that night, I did find him very handsome and a few weeks later he asked me to grab lunch with him. From that day on we just clicked!
How did you know he was the one for you?
I knew Drew was the one early on in our relationship after I was forced to travel for work for 9 months during covid-19. We had to put a pause on our relationship until I was able to get a steady job back home in Central Florida. The day I came back to town we went on our first date since I left, and it was like we were never apart. He truly is my soul mate, and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with him.
What are the things you have in common?
Both of us are very outdoorsy and cherish quality time with one another and with our families. We tend to find ourselves spending time outside enjoying activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, etc. We both value family and many weekends you will find us enjoying quality time with our immediate and extended family members as well.
How did he propose?
Drew had devised a plan to propose to me in Boston, MA while we were visiting some friends in the area. On the last day of our trip, we had the opportunity to visit a famous art museum called the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The museum is actually a very old estate that has a beautiful open-ceiling garden right in the middle. He proposed to me right outside of the Garden while my sister secretly recorded our incredible moment together. Afterward, we went to see a Boston Red Sox game. Our first meal together as an engaged couple was a classic hot dog and a cold beer. He always keeps it classy.
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
We’re most looking forward to celebrating this day surrounded by the people we cherish the most!
What inspired your wedding colors?
Our wedding colors are various shades of dark olive and eucalyptus greens, peony white, and a splash of gold. Our reception is being held in a rustic and historic venue space in Winter Park where we feel these colors really compliment the atmosphere. As mentioned before, we’re also both outdoorsy kinds of people, and we feel the colors really reflect us as a couple.
