From Bayshore to the Altar: The Love Story Behind the Day
Where did you meet your fiancée?
We were introduced by my maid of honor who’s now husband was friends with Clay!
What are the things you have in common?
We are both very active and love to workout. Additionally, we spend time outdoors at the beach or on the boat. Finally, we love to spend time with friends.
How did they propose?
Clay proposed on his birthday. We had dinner plans for his birthday but he had asked if we could go on a bike ride to Hyde Park from our house for an early evening drink before dinner. Which is something we do a lot. Halfway through the bike ride on Bayshore he stopped (faking an issue with the bike) and proposed.
What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
Just getting to spend time with all of our friends and family in one place. My family are all in England so we don’t get the chance to get everyone in the same place very often and of course just being married!
What inspired your wedding colors?
We are getting married at the Tampa Yacht Club so I wanted to lean into the nautical colours they already have. Also have the general theme of a traditional English garden party so blue and white worked perfectly for both!
