July Chiavari Chair Winners: Jessica & Bligh

Congratulations to our July 2013 Chiavari Chair Winners Jessica and Bligh!

Jessica always knew she wanted to know Bligh better, but she never imagined he’d was the man she’d marry! Read more about the former E Events consultant and her unique wedding ideas here!

Where did you meet Bligh?
Bligh and I met working at Maggiano’s on I-drive, we were both serving tables waiting for our careers to take shape. He caught my attention the moment we met, his sarcasm and playfulness made him someone I really wanted to get to know better. I never imagined I would meet the man I want to spend my life with working a part time job at a restaurant. But that’s the best part about it; God put the right person in my life when I least expected it.

How did you know he was the one for you?
I knew he was the one for me fairly early on in our relationship. I found myself being completely in my own skin every time we were around one another. I never had to think before I spoke, or worry what I looked like, I just knew he loved me for me and that hooked me. Our relationship was tested when Bligh was offered a job overseas in Saudia Arabia flying the royal family, for one year, he was there for two months and home for one. The way I felt in the airport the first time I picked him up was indescribable, at that moment I knew he was supposed to be my husband.

What are the things you have in common?
We love to laugh, and spend quality time with family and friends and we share the same ridiculous dance moves!

How did Bligh propose?
Bligh proposed at Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park off Alabama. It was the day after Thanksgiving, we were in jeans, sneakers and just walking in the park enjoying each other’s company. We stopped by the lake, he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was magical, but in the most intimate and organic way. I’ll never forget that day.

What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to most?
Geez, Ann that’s a hard one! J Being a former wedding planner myself with E Events, I truly have so many moments I am anticipating. I’ll narrow it down to my TOP 3!
1. Seeing Bligh standing at the altar and waiting for his reaction to the way I look
2. Dancing the night away with my friends and family under the stars
3. And last but not least, of course, seeing my vision come to life

What inspired your Jewel Tone wedding colors?
I was never one of those Bride’s that wanted a traditional wedding, with just 2 colors, and a matchingbridesmaids and groomsmen number. So honestly, I looked to my closet and my house for inspiration as opposed to wedding magazines. I love jewel tones, I wear them, I decorate with them, and I think they complemented my venue and my November date. I’ve always loved mixed color palettes and jewel tones suited the fall and my love for rich, vibrant color. I even have my Maid of Honor wearing a different color than the rest of my girls!
