Welcome to our second blog installment which puts the focus on floral. Flowers provide a wonderful enhancement and undoubtedly help create the perfect table setting.   We are dissecting flower types by color and style every month to help you make an informed decision when  choosing your wedding floral. Today’s focus is all about Pink! Learn more about perfectly pink floral options if you have pink on your mind for your special day!

Stock:

These dainty flowers will look immaculate as an accent, as they have the ability to add both color and height to your spring bouquet.Native to the Mediterranean, the stock flower also gives off a clove-like smell that is sure to entice the romantic in any bride. Pair this flower with roses and ranunculus for a beautiful arrangement.

 Pink Protea:

Also known as the ‘Sugar Bush,” the Protea is an unique tropical flower that features fuzzy pink petals around one large centered bloom. With it’s exquisite texture and personality, these flowers make for a jaw-dropping arrangement.

King Protea:

The largest relative in the Protea family, The King is royal in nature and mystical at heart. According to an ancient Greek legend, these flowers are named after none-other than Poseidon’s shape-shifting son, Proteas. Although not waterproof, these stunning flowers have the ability to bring magic to any wedding bouquet.

Tulips: 

Other than the rose, what flower is more classic than the tulip? These gorgeous blooms are quintessential for the onset of spring, and for any hopeless romantic bride. Available year round, this feminine addition can double as a bridal bouquet, a stunning centerpiece, or simply petals to line your aisle.

Godetia:

Getting it’s nickname “Farewell-to-Spring,” these elegant flowers only start to bloom once the temperatures start to rise and the start of  Summer commences. It’s satiny texture and two-toned appearance makes for a lively addition or focal point to any floral arrangement.

Gerbera Daisy: 

Oh, daisy. These charming flowers, resembling that of a sunflower, have the ability to put a smile on anyones face. Coming in a multitude of colors, their distinct bloom have currently put them in 5th place as the most popular flower. You simply cannot go wrong with the daisy, which epitomizes cheer in floral form.

Anemone:

The Anemone, which resides in the endearing buttercup family, portrays a large bloom surrounding a dark center. Meaning “daughter of the wind” or “windflower” in Greek,  these flowers are typically seasonal, as they thrive between the short months of August & December.

 Hydrangeas: 

Last but not least, we have the hydrangeas! With the unique potential to stand alone, one cluster is actually comprised of several smaller blooms which create a single, round masterpiece. With the appeal of a romantic garden, and the ease of the compilation, hydrangeas provide the perfect staple piece for every type of wedding.

Sonaly’s shoes said it all, as she clutched an exquisite custom bouquet created by Jonathan Gray Florist, displaying a mixture of pink roses and peonies.

At the reception, the guests were greeted with a frosted ballroom, adorned with our silver chiavari chairs and BBJ’s elegant linens. These elements were highlighted in the Sandlake Ballroom by the enchanting aura of pink lighting.

Another true star of the evening were the elaborate tree centerpieces – which displayed a gorgeous combination of tea light candles, dripping crystals, dainty flowers, and a pink rose base.

Distinct Concept made sure to capture the centerpieces essence in their entirety, as well as the many other magical moments of the night.

And lastly, the couple enjoyed a cake that was undeniably fit for a princess. With four tiers of pure silver coating, ribbons of rhinestones, and rose embellishments, this cake was enough to bring a smile to all the guests in attendance.

The adoring couple met online via Christian Mingle. Now who says online dating doesn’t lead to love!

Kristen knew Toby was the one when she realized how he interacted with his own family and her family. “He has a kind and caring heart and is always giving of himself. He treats me amazing!” Kristen exclaimed. “I couldn’t have asked for anyone better.”

Toby planned to propose to Kristen at Lake Dora. Kristen haphazardly interrupted his plans and Toby ended up proposing the night after in his car. “It was sweet and I would not have had it any other way”, she noted when we asked her if Toby’s proposal was everything she imagined.

Kristen is estatically looking forward to that moment when the doors open and she sees the love of her life waiting for her at the alter.  ”I can’t wait to say, “I Do”. Kristen shared enthusiastically.

Kristen’s wedding colors are dusty rose, sage and ivory. Her colors are muted and elegant as she wants her wedding guests to experience a walk back in time for their amazing day. 

Their wedding reception will be June 30, 2012 at First Baptist Orlando – Faith Hall. We wish them the best of luck!

The bride looked gorgeous with her bridal party, who donned pale green scoop neck dresses and elegant ivory bouquets created by Jonathan’s Gray Florist.

Coordinating this wedding with ease and experience, Tickled Pink Brides made sure this day ran by flawlessly.

At the reception, our Chestnut Chiavari Chairs stood out among the delicate natural tones that radiated in the room. With customized “Mr. & Mrs.” signs, the newlyweds were able to sit in chairs that were truly one of a kind.

Lastly, the couple sliced into a sophisticated white cake created by Anna Cakes which featured intricate frosting decor and an edible floral topper.

With the photography skills of Mike Briggs, this night was captured in a way that with live on forever.

Modeling regency blue a-line gowns, the bridal party embraced sea-foam green bouquets designed remarkably by Atmospheres Floral. And for the bride, who looked flawless in a a scoop-neck gown with lace overlay, carried a slightly smaller bouquet of ivory tulips.

At the reception, the guests were seated in A Chair Affair’s silver chiavari chairs, as they sat in amazement of the sparkling beauty that surrounded them in the ballroom.

As the night progressed, Power Entertainment provided the couple and their family & friends hours of cheerfulness, as they danced to the lively music on the customized monogramed floor.

Divulging into the sweet tradition, Brooke & David sliced into their four-tiered traditional wedding cake. Alternating shapes with a royal blue ribbon, the cake showcased an intricate design iced on the square tiers, with a cursive letter “M” cake-topper to signify their newly connected last name.

And to end the night, a display of fireworks lit up the night sky for all to see. Rhodes Photography captured this intimate moment on camera, as well as the rest of this unforgettable event.

Congratulations! You are our March 2012 Chiavari Chair winners!

The couple are set to get married on May 25th 2012 at Lake Mary Events Center.
