I just love a Disney wedding. Living in Orlando, you’d think it might get a little old. But there’s just something about the romance and imagination of it … it’s all the magic of a Disney fairy tale, but the bride is a real life Sleeping Beauty, or Belle, or Jasmine. And at Disney, drama just doesn’t look out of place.
Take the case of our newlyweds: Anamaria and Edward Puente. This divine couple was recently hitched by Disney.
Their lovely ceremony was held in the Wedding Pavilion, and the reception was at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The Puente’s went with a delightful Parisian theme for their wedding, with French labeling and Eiffel Tower accents (Target).
Even Mickey got into the spirit: rather than his typical wedding top hat, he was dressed like a fat cat on his way to a French swing! Not bad for a mouse.
Anamaria looked absolutely stunning in her gown, designed by Maggie Sottero.
The dress was just fantastic from top to bottom, with a gorgeous beaded single strap shoulder and dramatically gathered satin at the base. A cute cap-sleeved bolero changed the look after the ceremony in a snap. Suddenly she was vintage–and it just worked. I also loved her rhinestone and feathered headpieces, by Lottie-Da Designs and Feathers&Frills respectively (both Etsy). Her gorgeous bridal jewelry was custom made by BridalBling (Etsy). It all reminded me of Anthropologie, which is almost invariably a good thing.
The groom was no slouch either! His black-on-black suit rivaled the bride’s dramatic look perfectly. And the bridesmaids looked perfect in their non-matching black cocktail dresses. The ladies wore jewelry from Dutch Pearl (Etsy).
A few other great elements from Puente’s stylish wedding: A gorgeously simple wedding cake by the confectionary geniuses in Disney’s pastry chef department sat before a secret garden. “I Do” glittered from the bottom of Anamaria’s gorgeous pale pink Caparros pumps (DSW).
Anamarie contacted us for her black chiavari chairs with ivory pads they were perfect for her french themed wedding. Floral design by In Bloom and table linens by BBJ. And a vintage getaway car provided by Disney, positioned to whisk the newlyweds to their next adventure.
Oh and one more thing just really gets me about a Disney wedding: all of the amazing photo opportunities. Misty Miotto was the Puente’s photographer, and she did a wonderful job, as you can see here. Isn’t it just amazing to think that you can have glorious photos from one of your favorite days … on the monorail?
Or in front of the Cinderella castle? Or with MICKEY MOUSE? Disney provides backdrops which are wild and well, the stuff of fantasy. Because that’s what they do best.
Happy honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Puente–for the rest of your lives!

I love this classic wedding! The chairs fit right in to the rest of the very classic, Parisian vintage romantic theme. LOVE IT!
